Environmental policies whose principles are based on ensuring complete Client satisfaction, safeguarding workers' health and protecting the environment as well as striving for continuous improvement in these areas.
Improvement means increasing the quality of the products, the services and the price while constantly reducing environmental impact and safeguarding the well-being of its workers.
PRODUCT QUALITY means, above all, guaranteeing that the product supplied satisfies the requirements specified by the Client and/or promised to the Client, and meet the implicit expectations in terms of safety, suitability for use as well as compliance with the relevant rules and regulations.
SERVICE QUALITY means, as well as fulfilling any contractual obligations, optimizing cooperation with the Client, immediate intervention when problems or complaints arise using technical competence to offer suitable solutions to the Client.
PRICE QUALITY means, above all, reducing direct and indirect costs arising from “non-quality”, that is, deriving from inefficiencies and errors which increase the overall cost of the product.
Achieving and monitoring the objectives which ASTRA has set itself is carried out by:

- improving the integrated Quality, Safety and Environmental System, substantiated and in compliance with UNI EN ISO 9001, UNI EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Standards.

- the use of indicators (KPI) to supervise and monitor important safety and environmental quality parameters.
- •
- Quality-Safety-Environmental courses for staff for information, training, and continuous involvement in the company processes.
- •
- systematic checks on Client satisfaction using feedback for continuous improvement of products and company services towards Clients.
- •
- systematic checks confirming that integrated System is fully operational using internal audits on the products and the system and in all areas concerned.
To ensure the maintenance and development of the Quality-Safety-Environmental Management System, the Chief Executive Officer has designated the following tasks:

- To maintain the operation of the Integrated Management System, checking that all activities affecting the quality of the products are carried out in accordance with the rules.
- •
- To suspend any activity or process that compromises the correct efficiency of the Integrated System.
- •
- To arrange inspections, supervision and checks in order to monitor the implementation and efficiency of the System, informing the Chief Executive Officer directly on the status of the System itself and on any steps taken to ensure its application.
The operating instructions for activities contained in the Manual, the Organisational Procedures and in documents referred to therein, govern the Company Quality Policy and, as such, require complete and systematic observance by all entities and functions cited there in and by the relative staff within the scope of their expertise and responsibilities.

Starting in 1996, ASTRA S.p.A developed its Company Quality System in compliance with the requirements of
